Techniques of Therapeutic Massage:

Over the years my practice has developed into a blend of several massage modalities, a few of which include:

  • TMJ Therapy

  • Travell and Simons Trigger Point

  • Deep Tissue

  • Swedish

  • Reflexology

  • Sports

I’ve also focused on helping to relieve pain and increase range of motion pertaining to head, neck, shoulder, and low back discomfort.

In today’s world there are so many choices for everything we spend our hard earned money on. So, when looking for the most beneficial massage, how do you know what to choose for you? Look for therapeutic massage. What you want from a good massage are tangible results when it comes to reduction of pain or increased range of motion. In my many years of doing body work, I have found that really deep work does not always work as efficiently in releasing muscle tension. The issue I have with trying to force the muscle with deep work, is the body goes into fright and flight mode and makes it more difficult for the muscle tissue to relax. When we work together I try to find that edge, the edge where the neurological system is addressed by using trigger points, without applying so much pressure that the body reacts by tensing. Then, flushing the tissue of toxins with wonderful relaxing techniques. With my ever increasing tool box of different types of massage ie: sports, deep tissue, shiatsu, trigger point, and Swedish techniques, I find that what works best is establishing a relationship with my clients that allows for your body to become accustomed to my touch and for me to find that “edge” that works best for each individual client. I look forward to seeing you soon. Wishing You Wellness
